Not sure of question.
Where can you get music cd's?
Free mp3 music downloads?
Amazon does have some songs for free.
Other streaming sites such as pandora or youtube.
Even borrow some from a friend or the library.

Hi Deep nd Swamps,

The depth of your knowledge is as impressive, on this subject, as your name, so I am turning to you for advice.

I never downloaded any MP3-music from free websites. Maybe, I am too cautious and concerned about viruses or spy-ware, and I dont want the break any laws. So I buy the CD if I find it. However, some of the old dance songs are not available on CDs or on paid-download websites, or difficult to find.

Nevertheless, some free-MP3 websites, which look usually Russian, offer it as free download, when one searches by song title and artist.

Questions:

How to tell if these websites are safe?
Which ones do you use, and are you sure that they are safe?
Is downloading free-MP3s constitutes braking the law or not?

Your advise will be highly appreciated.

The original question ("Where can I get music?") is so nonspecific that it's hard to know where to start. You can purchase CDs from various sources, if you know what you're looking for. Right now DanceVision is offering closeout prices on music CDs (and other things), but I don't know what they have left. You can download music from iTunes (not free, but inexpensive). There are other download sites, but in some cases you run the risk of also downloading adware or viruses. If you don't even know what music you want, a Google search will turn up some song lists.

Some questions for MFelker: Do you want music for one or two dances (which ones?) or for a greater number of dances (which ones?)? Would you like suggestions for musicrealizing that you might hate my favorite Foxtrot music? And, finally, can you make your request more specific?
